Covid 19 Update

City of Janesville Golf Courses Update

We are excited to be open and provide an outlet for recreation and activity for the residents of Janesville and our guests.  Our team is closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 and taking preventative measures to ensure that we are providing the highest level of service and cleanliness to our guests. This situation remains fluid and may change at any time.
We are following the guidelines established by the Rock County Department of Health and the CDC for preventing the spread of the virus, and as such we have implemented additional measures at our facility to mitigate risk and reduce the spread of germs. This includes the following procedures:
  1. The Clubhouse –
    1. Masks are no longer required and are optional inside of the clubhouse.
    2. The Golf Shop is open, with social distancing and point of contact measures in place.
    3. The Café at Riverside is open, with indoor and patio seating available.
    4. HEPA air filters are placed throughout the building.
    5. Hand sanitizer stations are placed throughout the building.
       
  2. The Golf Course and Range
    1. The golf course is open for walking and riding.
    2. Golf carts are two-riders per cart.  Maximum of two carts per foursome.
    3. Golf carts are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be reserved ahead of your tee-time. 
    4. Golf carts are cleaned after each use.
    5. On-course restrooms are currently open, and will remain open through mid-October.
    6. Rental clubs are available and are thoroughly cleaned after each use. 
    7. Tee time intervals will be set at nine minutes apart for social distancing.
    8. Ball washers and bunker rakes are placed on the course.  Use at your discretion. 
    9. On the greens, flagsticks may be removed at your discretion. 
    10. The practice green is open.
    11. The driving range is open, and will remain open through mid-October.  Golf balls are cleaned between each use. 

The health and safety of our staff and guests is our highest priority. We will continue to work with health experts to ensure that our staff is informed and prepared to host you at Blackhawk and Riverside Golf Courses.  However, as we have told our staff, if you are feeling sick or exhibiting any signs of illness, please stay home.
